arrived suvarnabhumi airport at 10:45am via Jetstar SK511.

firstly i must say jetstar wasn't as bad as i expected, i gave 3.5/5, why??? (1) assigned seating (2) depart from changi airport terminal 1 (3) small but less than 3 years old plane (4) cheap airfare @ S$151 inclusive of all taxes but excluding THB500 airport tax. PS: always request for seats at emergency exits (for airbus 320 are row 12 & 13). the leg room is very much bigger, enjoy ^_^

secondly i must also say suvarnabhumi airport wasn't as bad as i expected too. i heard alot of bad reviews before departing; lost lugguage, long queue at custom counter etc but hey, it took me less than 20 mins to clear the custom and my lugguage didn't fly to other country hehe

thirdly the situation after military coup on 20 Sept wasn't as bad as i expected too. i thought i'll see lots of armies carrying AK47 once i touch down but not even single one at the airport. PS: i didn't actually see tanks & army along the street through out my 5-days there, the siutation was totally under control. business as usual ^_^

proceed to asia hotel. PS: i was very lucky to book the hotel at S$65 nett daily inclusive of 2-way airport transfer. thanks to mr yew from bestlink travel ^_^

asia hotel is conveniently located next to ratchathewi skytrain station; a walkway linked directly to hotel 2nd floor. i'm very satisfied with the room: spacious, clean, cheap, good location and good service. BUT, before choosing this hotel i was told from my thai friend and singapore colleagues that it's a haunted hotel. while i didn't "see" or "feel" any special, i guess my "运 aka luck" was high haha

after settled with our luggage, we proceed to Chatuchak Market (also known as JJ Market) by taxi. it's a weekend market which open only on sat & sun, 10am to 6pm. i would recommend if you really wants to explore this hugh market, better visit early in the morning while it's not so crowded and hot. i reached the market at around 12:30pm and it's already pack like sardin. it was so stuffy that i could only spent 1 hour there if not i'm afraid i'll suffocate to death. we than went to 1 of the vietnamese restaurant for lunch, the food was nice and price was cheap. i especially like the sesame fried chicken wing which now still make me "lao chui nua" :p

next we proceed to The Erawan Shrine (Four Face Buddha) via taxi. the shrine is very famous among many southeast asia chinese. we believe our wish will come true if we pray sincerely. as usual the shrine was crowded with local thais and tourists.

after the praying we went window shopping at some upmarket shopping centers nearby such as Central World Plaza, Gaysorn Plaza, The Peninsula Plaza etc. all this upmarket malls showcasing designer shops which the goods are not any cheaper than Singapore. but 1 thing i must say is some of their shopping center are grander than Singapore, i really enjoy even though just window shopping

back to hotel and take a rest and we're having dinner at Somboon Seafood Restaurant. while waiting taxi at the hotel entrance, a hotel driver approached us and offered to drive us to the restaurant at THB50. we didn't suspect why it was so cheap as we thought it's a kind offer by the hotel.
